Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
This policy explains what UrgentSalesNG collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers both the website at urgentsalesng.com and the UrgentSalesNG mobile app.
UrgentSalesNG is operated by Kovebridge Ltd (RC 9699056), Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. Kovebridge Ltd is the data controller. You can reach us at hello@urgentsalesng.com.
We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the rules of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
What we collect
What you give us
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To create your account and sign you in |
| Display name | Shown on every listing you post |
| Phone number and WhatsApp number | So buyers can contact you about your listings |
| City | Shown on your profile |
| Profile photo | Optional. Shown next to your listings |
| Listing content and photos | To publish what you are selling |
| Bank name, account number and account name | Only if you ask for a Refer and earn payout, so we can pay you. Not shown to anyone else |
What the app collects with your permission
Precise location. The mobile app asks for your location when you open it. We use it only to work out which state you are in, so that listings near you appear first. We do not store your coordinates. Only the state, and where we can match it, the area name, is kept on your device.
This is optional. If you decline, the app works normally and shows listings from across Nigeria.
Photos. When you add pictures to a listing or to your profile, the app reads the images you choose. It does not read anything else in your library.
What we record as you use the service
- Listings, bundles, and their status
- Offers you make or receive
- Items you save, sellers you follow, and watchlist entries
- Reports you file about a listing
- Boost orders, including amount, duration and payment status
- When the mobile app is opened: a random identifier the app makes for that installation, the platform and the app version, so we can count how many phones have the app. It is not your phone's own identifier
- While you use the mobile app: when it is opened and which screens you view, including which listings and seller pages, linked to that same random identifier and to your account if you are signed in. We use this to understand how the app is used and to improve it. We do not record what you type or search for
- While a Refer and earn campaign is running: who invited whom, and an identifier for the phone the app is installed on, so that one phone cannot be counted twice. We do not collect it when no campaign is running
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that run the product, and only as far as each one needs:
| Who | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Our database, sign-in and file storage |
| Cloudinary | Listing and profile images |
| Remmint | Payments for listing boosts. We never see or store your card or bank details |
| Didit | Identity checks for sellers who choose to get verified. Didit collects and keeps the ID details, the ID photo and the selfie. We receive the result and the name on your ID, which only our staff can see. We never see or store the document, its number or your date of birth |
| Expo | Delivery of the mobile app and its updates |
| Netlify | Hosting for the website |
| Google Analytics | Website traffic measurement |
What other users can see
This matters, so it is worth stating plainly. When you publish a listing, the following becomes visible to anyone using UrgentSalesNG, including people who are not signed in:
- Your display name and profile photo
- Your listing title, description, price, photos, and the state and area you chose
- Your phone number, through the Call and WhatsApp buttons on your listing
Do not put anything in a listing photo or description that you would not want shown publicly.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or a threat to someone's safety.
How long we keep it
- Account data: until you delete your account
- Listings: until you remove them, or they expire and are cleared
- Boost and payment records: retained after account deletion where we must keep them for tax and accounting purposes
- Reports of abuse: retained so that repeat problems can be recognised
- Refer and earn: your payout account until you delete your account. Records of payouts we have made are retained after account deletion for tax and accounting purposes
- Verification result: whether your identity check passed, and the name on the ID you used, until you delete your account. The rest of the ID data is held by Didit under its own privacy policy, not by us
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your account and personal data
- Restrict or object to how we use your data
- Withdraw a permission you previously gave, such as location
Email hello@urgentsalesng.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can delete your account yourself at any time: see Delete your account.
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted by row level security rules, so you can only read and change your own records. No system is perfect, and we cannot promise absolute security, but we will tell affected users and the Commission if a breach occurs that puts your data at risk.
Children
UrgentSalesNG is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and where the change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email.
